Connova Group is an established supplier to Pilatus for many years and provides following services for the customer:

• Manufacturing of high-temperature-resistant lamination and forming moulds,
• Design and manufacturing of fully automated vacuum fixation jigs,
• Manufacturing of structure and cabin components made of GFRP or CFRP by autoclave or hot press moulding,
• Highly precise milling and trimming of GFRP and CFRP components using modern CNC machining centre

During the development and production of a complete primary structure made of CFRP/titanium (STM and PFM models), Connova Group supported ESA in the selection of materials, the production concept and a specially qualified bonding process with specially developed bonding jigs.

In close cooperation with Porsche AG, Connova Group has developed a composite heat shield for the Porsche 918 Spyder, which is able to withstand operational temperatures of 350°C. The activities included the material definition, the development of a special high-temperature coating applied onto the composite surface, which is suitable to survive the extended endurance tests, tool design for a serial production of minimum 1000 manufacturing cycles per component and the entire process development until full serial maturity and support during the series production.

Connova Group is partner for the formula 1 industry for many years now and convinces by reliable and precise manufacturing of different ready-to-install composite components. Thanks to a high level of vertical integration (tooling, composites, assembly, painting), we can also meet very short delivery deadlines and guarantee process reliability even with frequent changes at short notice.

For ABB, Connova Group has developed and manufactures aramide-fibre reinforced components for high voltage applications. This serial product is highly precise and fulfils tightest tolerances and highest surface requirements.

For REGA, Connova Group has developed and manufactured light and X-ray-transparent shell elements characterized by high stiffness and strength. The patient bed is easy to clean. Further details are:

For a pick-and-place robot used in the packaging industry, Connova Group has developed and manufactured an arm by RTM technology using carbon fibres and a foam core.
